I am trying to link a picture off of my computer, it doesn't have a URL. Any suggestions?

I replied to your other thread here in Q&S, but as for this question...your pic needs to have a URL if you're wanting to link to a picture in a post or your signature. You can host the picture somewhere like www.picturetrail.com (this is what I use) or another free hosting site of your choice. Then you can get the URL off the picture once you've uploaded it. Feel free to PM me if you need help.

It worked but I was concerned that anyone could edit my photoalbum if I gave a direct link into it. Does anyone know? I am using Shutterfly. I opened User CP - Edit signature and after postioning the cursor in my signature clicked on the globe w/ chain ( hyperlink). In another window I opened up my shutterfly account to the page I wanted, copied the URL and then clicked back to Mothering.com window w/my signature page and pasted it then saved.

frannyfresh ~ I don't believe by directly linking to your Shutterfly page that anyone can tamper w/your pictures (although you may want to right-click protect it so nobody can take your pictures). I'm looking at a friend's Shutterfly album right now and I can't do anything but look at the whole album or the slideshow. There is a spot where you can check if you want to order a print, but I believe that can be disabled too.

BTW, I don't see a link in your sig, but from what you wrote, it sounds like you did it correctly. In Shutterfly, make sure you are copying the link that you would share w/your friends and not the link that is in your address bar at the top of your screen. It will end with .jpg or something like that.
