I have some good news and some bad news on the Belly Huggers. I emailed the lady who makes them and she let me know that they have just raised the price to $16 each. So that puts them just out of the price range for this swap. The good news is that she said she would let us do a group order! If we pooled together and ordered at least 30 pieces, they would be $11.50 each. So I am thinking of organizing a group buy for us to get them after the holidays. How's that sound?

I am all over that Jen!!! I have quite a few pg friends who I am sure would want to join in too!!! Count me in for at least 2!!

Then your person could buy straight from the site and have it shipped to you. And you could do the same for whomever you get matched up wth.
Thanks, Jen. I am happy to ship to the states as I know it's reasonable to send a small package (approx. CDN$5) but I'm not sure if it's equally reasonable from the US to Canada. Online US retailers certainly charge an arm and a leg to ship here so I will add a local site to my list.

I'd probably do the belly hugger too! But is there any chance we could just do it now? My sister is due February, and after the holidays is right at the end for her. I know it's busy now, so it's ok if that's just too much.

kelly, for yarn, are you asking for ONLY fisherman's or would another 100% wool be ok? ( like, peace fleece? )

ISO:
Pregnancy journal
Dark chocolate
Newborn diaper cover in some cool color (all we have are white)

I would be in on that for at least one and maybe two. Either now or post-holidays would be fine.

I suppose we could do it now. I was thinking after the holidays might be better financially, but that's what credit cards are for, right? : I will go post a separate poll to see how many people would be interested in doing in now vs. January.

Ooh! I couldn't think of anything earlier, but I got some "quiet time" and now I'm in!

ISO:
Fuzzy socks to wear around the house (I wear a size 9 in shoes )
Homemade soaps in "clean" or fruity scents (no floral please!)
Fun CDs (the trip to the mw is 1.5-2 hours each way)
Hard candies to help with nausea
Anything else really (As far as food products, I just don't do beef/gelatin)

YAY!
I'll be in too if that's okay

I'm not really picky:
-White chocolate
-any sort of maternity thing
-anything good luck for being pregnant
-maybe something for baby,

Anything really, I don't really have much and as I said, I'm not too picky...

Thanks,
Mary

I'm still in! But I am so bad at thinking of things for myself...

-soft yummy yarn, either for soakers (GN) or for my younger DD's "mommy blanket" which I will make for her before the babe is born (so far she seems like a purple kind of gal)

-I do love chocolate

-maybe a nursing necklace so my DD has something to play with besides my other breast

-I'm so not picky - anything that makes a tired pregnant working mama feel special

ETA: I would love to have a pregnancy journal for this pregnancy. I didn't journal at all during my first two pregnancies. Actually I've never journaled with any regularity. But I am feeling a strong desire to do it now...I am pretty sure this will be my last pregnancy and I know that many of the things I was certain I'd remember from the first two have faded away...dates and the like, etc. So a pregnancy journal would be sweet.

I think I'd like to be in. Do we choose who we want to send something to? OR are we assigned? I've never been in one of these. I'll have to come up with an ISO during nap time and post later.

You can choose who you want to send to or wait for me to assign you a person. Basically, I am keeping a little list of who has chosen who and I will match up everyone else after the sign-up deadline (11/18). Does that make sense? It sounded good in my head but now it looks funny typed out.
Count me in I've never done this either but it seems to make sense!

ISO (I'm realy flexible- anything is fine really- no dietary restrictions):
-good smelling lotion/bath products
-anything chocolate
-essential oils
-de-caf coffee or tea
-anything maternity related
-warm & fuzzy socks/slippers (size 10)
-scrapbooking stuff (baby/toddler girl/holiday/family)

Just wanted to let you all know that Kim (ksjhwkr) has graciously offered to take this over. So if you have any questions or match requests, she's the lady to talk to. Happy swapping!
