Me too. I hate it, absolutely hate it.

I should clarify that i was doing 15 loads a week up until 6 weeks ago when we bought the Whirlpool Duets. Its less loads number wise, but the amount is the same

We're about to be 3 people in the house. I'm a very lazy, very unmotivated mommy-to-be. The only way that I keep up with my laundry now is to do a load every day. I had to get myself into a routine every day to effectively keep the place straight.

I do about 6-8 loads per week not including diapers. We have six in our family, plus a dog and two cats. We try to wear clothes more than once to cut back, but usually I am the only one who manages to do that. Everyone else gets food and dirt on their clothes.

2 loads per week for one small adult and two children. One dark load, one light. If I can't fit the towels in there then we do three loads.

In the summer it's a few loads every couple of weeks because the clothes are smaller.

Um... we're a four person family and average 1 or 2 loads a day, with maybe a free day in between here and there :
i will honestly admit my cubs get DIRTY!!!! no matter what it is we're up to
I love to do laundry too!! I'll tell dh I'm heading to thw basement to do laundry and he'll call down like 50 mins later 'ever coming up??!'
i admit it's my getaway

DH does 3 or 4 loads a week.
We are a 4-person family (Me, DH, 27 mos old, 9.5 mos old).

We all rewear clothes that aren't dirty or smelly (underwear excluded).

Three people, and I usually go about 1.5 - 2 weeks, but then I do over ten loads at a time, over the course of 2-3 days. For example, this time I htink I had a total of 14 loads. Either we are very clean or very dirty. I also am pretty big into separating by color, fabric weight, degree of shedding, delicates, extra-dirty, etc., which may account for the number of loads.

10+ loads a week not including diapers for a family of three.
DH is a stone mason and gets his clothes absolutely filthy at work. This accounts for a lot of it.

We do too. It seems wasteful not to.

That said, each week I do:
1 load whites
1 load darks
1 load jeans
1 load kid clothes that didn't fit in with the darks or white loads
1 load bath and kitchen towels
Sometimes a load of delicates (wools, silks, bras, tights, etc)

Sheets every 2 weeks or so. And 2x week cloth diapers/wipes/pads.

Yikes! I didn't vote in the poll...there are 6 of us (plus 3 dogs) and I do at least 4-6 loads a DAY. I had no idea people could get away with so little laundry! We also use cloth napkins, cleaning cloths, handkercheifs, mama pads, etc. (still use paper TP, though) At least I do have energy/water efficient machines- two whirlpool duet sets, dryers stacked on washers.

We are a family of 5, and I do about 7 loads a week. I don't wash linens very often, and we use towels for about a week before we wash them.

We use cloth napkins, and we go through a lot of washclothes and dishrags.

We will each go through 2 outfits some days, so we probably do about 8-9 loads a week.
