Hi mamas!

Natalee Kay was born via emergency c-section on 11/9
10:30 am. 7lbs 5 oz 21 inches long

I will need to post the birth story later. Natalee is doing great!! Mama didn't do so well. I ended up going into shock from blood loss and needed a blood transfusion.RBC count was at 12 after birth, then dropped to 6, then 5!
My kidneys even started to fail.
The good news is we are home...my milk has come in. I'm just so weak its taking alot to even sit here and type.

Good Luck to everyone on your upcoming births! I hope they are everything you want them to be and more!
It's amazing to look into my daughters eyes...I'm so in love.

Congrats on your baby girl! Good to hear you are feeling better and home safely.

I can't wait to hear your story, since it sounds like maybe you went into labor before your planned CS date? I hope you can find peace with your birth experience!

*Update* Finally-Birth Story and Pics

I can't believe how fast time has flown since Natalee was born. It's already been 2 weeks! I am just now starting to feel better and I just took my last pain killer yesterday. This has been by far the hardest recovery I've been through.

Well as most of you already knew I did have a scheduled c-section on the 10th because she was footling breech. I was not happy about this and I was hoping with all I had that she would turn. I just figured I would go into labor and go to the hospital at the last minute and avoid the section.
Well...I did go into labor on the ninth and my water did break. There was meconium in the water.
With DH thinking the worst we were off to the hospital. I was first hooked up to monitors, and filled out all papers. Then the contrax really intensified and I was doing ok until her heartrate took a dip.
(I know this is a usual scare tactic especially for someone with my history. It also happened while in labor with my breech DD #1.)
Knowing what I know I asked them to give her a little bit to show up on the monitors. Her heartrate never went back up and although I knew this would be the end of my VBAC hopes I agreed to the emergency section.
It's a good thing I did,I really feel the c-section saved our lives.
As I posted before I did lose alot of blood and I'm alot more anemic than I thought I was. I did need a transfusion and it took me a while to really understand everything that had happened. I'm not going to go into details as I don't even remember most of it. Just what family told me.
I was confused for a few hours, but somehow managed to let the baby nurse with my moms help. My visitors all tell me now that I looked like a ghost,no color in me at all. I'm just glad no one showed me a mirror.
All in all...I'm not as traumatized this time with my c-section. I've come to terms with the fact that even knowing everything I know Some people just need a c-section.

Natalee is doing great! Shes nursing like a pro. We do have thrush though...
Her little cord just fell off and shes managed to stain every single new cloth diaper I bought her..lol
You can see her hospital pic in my craft link below
