Velour

That's it... I want velour underwear.

I just got done making a mama pad with velour as the top layer (got my velour from Hancocks), and it is SO SOFT. I tried the pad on, and seriously, it was more comfortable than my underwear! Once I make some more pads, I'm going to not be able to wait for AF to come again!

I plan to use this velour for some tri-fold soakers (probably one layer of hemp french terry and one layer of velour). I know this will be SO comfy for DS.

It is wintertime after all. Doesn't a girl deserve a nice pair of warm plush panties? Well, I'm not sure where this conversation is going...

Well, I haven't made any for myself... but my little girl reallly likes her purple velour undies mama made for her!

Go for it!!! I've heard great things about the Jalie undies pattern, though I haven't used it.

Where can I find it? I recently found out about Jalie patterns when I found a *great* looking swimsuit pattern at an "outdoors" fabric store. I need it for real swimming and it was the first pattern that had the features I need (not even Kwik Sew did). I could not make my own from an old suit b/c they get too stretched out of shape from chlorine. Anyway, I bet this undies pattern is fabulous, too. I am also looking for a great undies pattern b/c I want to make some "Mama pad undies" and the fabrics needed change the stretch, etc. I'll probably end up making my own pattern...

There are several mamas who periodically do co-ops for them, too....

Wow! I did not know they had so many! I'm hooked. Thanks for the link.

I just velour!!! I made The Cushiest Looking Diaper out of some navy velour recently. Well, actually I made two -- one in Katherine's size and one for the new babe... and those diapers look so fabulous and I know that Katherine loves hers!!

So of course I made some mama cloth topped with the velour as well... I need to make more because pp flow is ... well I'll need more than I made that's for sure, but I almost can't wait to see how comfy they really are!!

I've only made one mama cloth so far, but my pattern seems to work well, so I'll make a few more once I get my "snap press" from my dad, hopefully this weekend. AF should be visiting next week sometime, and I really don't want "diaper rash" again from those evil sposie pads! I tried the mama cloth out by laying it in my underwear, and it was oh so comfy. But when I pull my underwear down, it stays up against me, so I'm glad I designed a snap-in holder for it... Just need the snaps so I can actually use it (and I need to add hidden snaps to the pad before sewing it all up, which is why I haven't gone ahead and made more).

I plan to line all of my diapers or snap-in soakers with velour. I just love it. I need to go back to Hancock and get more. I only bought a yard (navy!), and I want to line diapers/soakers, make wipes, make mama cloth... So many uses, so little fabric on hand!

ooh... I the wipes I have that are made of velour. They're ones I purchased (I haven't gotten around to making more wipes yet, but I'm really going to have to, especially with TWO babes going through wipes and dipes!) and they have held up SO WELL!! They're probably even *softer* than when I got them!
