How do I get rid of fruit flies.
I just counted 8 of them perched on my cabinet doors in my kitchen. My mom brought some apples over several weeks ago in a bag...voila! They are multiplying, and gross. They are tiny, and look red. Are those fruit flies? We have already put all of our fresh stuff in the fridge. We have nothing out, and the dishes are cleaned every day. How can I make them go away?

We had them a few days ago and I didn't have anything out that they could have come from... I was mystified. So I figured I'd find out eventually. Well two days ago I was going through my pajama basket in my closet, and I found this really aweful squishy blackened apple. Dd is in the hiding stage now, and must have stashed it for later. I never wear pj's so I hardly use that basket... so it just got to rot in there. It was gross, but luckily a one time incident.
