I have no idea what the difference is between the snapstore one and the diapershop one, but I've snapped fleece without issue at all.

Mine is from The Snap Store. I love it. I have used it on all kinds of fleece. I did need the long prong snaps for some fleece sleeping bag/blankets I made. They were 2 layers of thicker fleece, a thin nylon layer plus several layers of binding. It took a little patience to pre-poke them with the prongs and one fell off later. But I fixed it. No problems since. If your diapers are 2 layers of fleece, though, you'll probably only need the regular prongs.

Why can't the person use it on fleece? You can put snaps on anything as long as it's stabilized properly.

Is that for the other current snap press question/posting? I think she (Rachel Flores) said that she could not "pre-poke" her posts through the WindPro fleece very easily.

Did you test out your new press already? What did you use the testers on (projects or fabric scraps)?

I guess I got some people confused Sorry about that! I've only had my snap press for about two weeks. I didn't even know there was a reason for pre poking holes in your material (see other thread). But I do know you CAN use snaps on fleece with or without prepoking holes 'cause I didn't poke holes in the two layer windpro cover I made before putting on the snaps and it works perfectly. I hope that clears thing up.

BTW: Do the snaps stay on better if you prepoke the holes? I might try that next time.

I hope you get your press soon so you can have fun this weekend making lots of snappy diapers!

I don't think you are supposed to have to - I think you were right on your first posting - that is the press's job. I like to prepoke, though, so I get the snap exactly where I want it. Most likely I might shift the fabric slightly when getting it into position. If the cap is already in place (by being pre-poked), then I just set it into the die and my fabric doesn't have a chance to shift. With more experience than I have (say, that of a person making diapers to sell), you could probably get the snaps exactly where you want them without pre-poking.

When I was putting snaps on the very thick sleeping bag/fleece things, I tried not pre-poking some of them. The posts did have a hard time getting through the layers and "smooshing" just right to get a tight and secure grip. I did have to redo those ones.

So... I think that you would want to pre-poke if
1. your layers are very thick or it is a very stiff fabric
2. you want to be very careful about placement
