Just wondering what everyone is having for dinner? I am about to starve
and won't be eating for awhile yet so thought I'd talk about food instead.

We are ordering Chinese. I have been helping a friend pack to get moved so I have no desire to spend anytime cooking. SESAME CHICKEN!!!!!MMMMM....................

At the moment... dry breakfast cereal. I haven't picked a craving yet.

We're doing chinese pork dumplings tonight- pan fried- no steaming for this mama! They're not the most authentictasting, but pretty good, i think.

I'm also trying to work out a birthday dinner for my mother and brother. We;re thinking about individual beef wellingtons or lamb chops. I'm not a huge meat eater, so it's not like one or the other is jumping out at me...

We haven't decided on supper yet either. I am hoping if I keep an eye on this thread I will get some ideas.

Chinese sounds sooo good , I wish there were a local chinese food restaurant with great vegetarian food in my are, but alas us non-meat eaters are denied the wonders of good chinese food around these parts.

Right now I'm snacking on some cherry tomatoes. YUMMMMM I am so happy I can finally eat veggies again .

Steamed broccoli and carrots w/ chickpeas over whole wheat couscous.

And probably some organic, plain yogurt and an orange for dessert.

Congratulations!!! We closed on our first house this summer - Poor DH had his wisdom teeth out the day before, all 4 were impacted, we celebrated with fruit smoothies because he could barely swallow

OK, today I am doing better. This morning I made vegetarian lasagna & broccoli salad for dinner. If I am cooking, the only way I get t done is if I make it in the morning, when I have the most energy. By dinnertime I am wiped, and there is no way I can cook. I am very lucky that dh has taken over most of the dinner prep.

I started doing the same thing last week. REALLY helps a lot to prepare in the AM and just cook/heat in the evening.

Tonight I'm not making anything because I have to teach so DD and DH are on their own.

I'd love to hear what people's favorite cook-ahead dishes are. For me, it's things like the lasagna, baked mac & cheese, chili, soups.
