SIGG Bottles have lining that is made from some kind of resin. It was tested for BPA but it maybe releasing other things we do not know about. I also read about one momma here that her lining cracked, it is aluminum and aluminum is toxic. That is why I am not big fun of these.
I have a Safe Sippy that is made of magnetic stainless still (no nickel) and other plastic parts are PP and sillicon. I was pretty happy, until I noticed black thing that lookes like mold in plastic parts of sippy, and seal. It is really hard to clean.
I think I am just done with sippys and I am going to use my evenflo glass bottles and nipples, easy to clean, and safe.

My 10 mo old is better with a cup than a bottle. I started to give it to her when she was 6 mo
In Eastern Europe a baby by 12 mo should be able to drink out of a cup, hold and "use" spoon, otherwise they won't get into a goverment sponsored day care. Mommas manage to teach their kids all that with no problem. It's a standard there and always was. No sippy cups ever used. Though, I admit, a wonderful invention to help parents and on the way situations.
