First PP AF?

I think I got my first AF a few days ago - all the signs were there - bloated, sore breasts, slightly crampy. The flow is VERY light, tho. Light brown to pink to red then gone - I only partially used like 2 pons and now I'm wondering if it was really AF or not!

Anyone have a similar situation with their first one after baby?

How old is your baby now? That would make a difference in the type of response you get.

I am just getting over my first ppaf. It was just like a normal one except more crampy for me than usual. Before that I spotted several times for about 2-4 days at a time. It was light and not really continuous i would see it when I wiped in the morning but by the end of the day it might not be so much but might be back the next day or even the next time I went to the bathroom. It was heavier than what I would normally consider spotting but was different than af. I hope that helps some.

it could be your first ppaf, or could you maybe be pregnant and it's implantation bleeding?

not trying to you but one of my friends whose babe is the same age as our little guy just found out she is 20 weeks pregnant and she didn't even know! she thought she had her first ppaf a few months ago, but it turns out it was implantation bleeding.

Yeah, I had a similiar situation myself yesterday except I only partially used 1 pon.

But yeah, I saw this thread and was intruiged becasue I had what I thought was my first pp af several months ago but apparently it was implant bleeding. I had yet another supposed af a couple months later, which in hindsight now I know it was spotting. I am ~20 weeks pg and just found out like 3 days ago. Needless to say, I was totally surprised.

But, I should say, with both of these bleeding episodes, there was NEVER any red. It was all brown. I never had any spotting w/my first pg, and of course I had never had a pp af either, so I didn't realize the lack of any red meant I probably wasn't having a real period.

Live and learn, I guess. Just thought I'd share and encourage you to take a test if you have any doubt.

holy crap....i think i might throw up... and i want to say the traditional 'but we only did it once!' and waaayyy tmi, we didn't do the traditional way, so I reallllllly doubt it. Man, with a 2 yr old and a 2 mo old, I'd probably need to be commited

I had a funny brown bleed-sort-of-thing (lol!) around 8 weeks pp. I called my doula when I couldn't reach my mw and she told to take a pg test I was really sweating bullets, thankfully it came back negative. The discharge stopped and I've had nothing since, so my mw and doula have just cautioned me not to try to do too much and give myself a break! And I try, really I do
