Yes really, I am THAT pregnant

Anyone else have this problem. I am huge! According to me anyhow, but I still get people who say 'really, you're pregnant'. Now, you might be thinking that I am 'big boned' and therefore hiding my baby somewhere, but the opposite is true. I am petite/medium build and at the moment resemble a candy apple on two sticks. I have only gained just under 20 pounds, but am measuring appropriate for gestational age - that being 39 weeks. So I am very pregnant. The people who are unsure I am pregnant (smacks head) have seen me in my winter coat and I suppose they might just think I am a bit chunky (shakes head slowly). Anyhow, even those who can tell I am CLEARLY pregnant, or have some sort of medical condition, are surprised I am as far along as I am?!?! I am not storing a beachball under my shirt!!!

Okay, end of pregnancy grumpiness here (actually I am feeling quite buoyant today) but really?

Ah yes, late pregnancy crankiness -- any day now! I always think that is one of the big signs. Soon you will be caressing your baby in your arms and it will all be worth it.

I'm not pregnant now, but you should have seen me with my second dd. My fundus measurements were at least five or six over what they are for normal pregnant women. Even the OB's office asked if I was carrying twins. When I was seven months pregnant, I went to tour the maternity ward and every nurse I saw said things like "any minute now, huh?"

The wildest thing was that when I left my OB's office at nine months pregnant, a group of women started laughing and yelling and saying "WHooee, you sure are big!!" "I thought I was big, but I never saw anything like that!" "You are the biggest pregnant woman I have ever seen." They were laughing hysterically. I had never seen these women before in my life. I looked behind me, then realized they were talking to ME. I felt very embarrassed,but somehow vindicated.

Ok, it turns out I was big... my dd was 12 lbs, 8 ounces and had an unusually large amount of amniotic fluid.
