I was induced Monday 11/14 due to the NST showing very low amniotic fluid (one dose of cervadil was enough to get everything going...yea no pitocin...no IV) and delivered Annabelle Tuesday morning 11/15 at 10:13 am (41 weeks and 2 days). It was an amazing process, lots of tough back pain, and slow but constant dilation throughout the entire 19 hours of labor (it was weird to labor entirely at the hospital, I always envisioned laboring for a long time at home). At 5am I had a 75mg of fentanol to take the edge off (I was at my limit with the back pain and am glad retrospectavely that I got a bit of something). Pushing was very rewarding, pushed for about an hour. After delivery of the placenta I hemoraged quite badly (so they say, 1000 cc of blood??). I had no risk factors for hemorage, so it was a bit unexpected. The midwife called in a doc to help with the hemorage and the tear. Little scary for everyone else, but I was sitting there happily with my baby, no real clue what was going on...euphoria!!!
Speaking of Annabelle, she is awesome. Dark brown hair like me, but a cute little turtle nose just like her dad. She latched on after delivery and has a fierce suck. BFing has been going great these past days, I absolutley love her to death.
Thanks to everyone on the board for all the support and good thoughts.
