thanks for all of your thoughts and love mommas! its almost 9am and im trying to get up the courage to take the first dose of castor oil.. but the thought of it makes me dry heave..
i felt really crampy after the sweep last night and then added some extra prosteglandins to the mix (thanks to elwynn and ngaio's pappa.. ) which made it even more intense and when i woke up this am huge chunks of my mucous plug were coming out..so i hope that a good sign! im going to somehow muster the strenght to take a massive dose of casor oil then have a hot bath. its not even the affects it has so much as how nasty it is getting it down. it gives me shivers..

DID - have fun at rent.. and try not to get too depressed.. its not good for you or baby. i know its hard

AMY-

Peaceful- you are so sweet..its great to hear that you had such a nice thanksgiving...im not quite ready to join the dec DDC but maybe in a few days i do still have 4 days before then

Hey MamaFern....how you hanging in there? Just wondering if you managed to get down that castor oil, and if it had any effect.

Sure is getting lonely around here!!

i did and i think it may be working! ive been having pretty regular painful contractions all day now( since about an hour after i took the CO).. but they are pretty close together and only about 40 seconds long.. ive taken 2 doses so far and now we are making a roasted chicken (one my dad grew on his farm) and veggies with hopes that baby will come finally! if this isnt the real thing i think ill cry.. but im not quite there yet. im feeling hopefull especially because as time goes on they do get more intense and even when i lie down they are bad. so hopefully ill be posting my birth announcement tomorow morning and the fact that baby is within touching distance makes me super excited!

Amy- I just noticed that you're a newly minted senior member...one of your post-dates accomplishments??

***ELV*** to all, especially Fern.

Well, both boys made it through Rent with hardly any problems. They loved the music so much. What a couple of great kids they are!
I'm heading into day 8 past my due date. A milestone I wasn't exactly looking forward to.
I'm not planning on joining the December DDC even if I am still pregnant come Thursday. I hope anyone that goes over that far will stay here with me. Amy, you're right. It's definitely starting to get lonely here.

Yeah, Ashe, we lost another one today; Zjande had her baby boy! And from the looks of it, I am guessing that we'll be saying hello to baby Ngaio by morning.

I'm with you all the way though! I've decided I'm not going to hop to December DDC either. Like I need to read MORE birth stories from people whose due dates are *after* mine.

After feeling really nauseated and exhausted this evening and just laying around on the couch, I am wide awake now. I decided to get out of bed to eat and so that DH can fall asleep without me tossing and turning. I just keep wondering if tomorrow is going to be the day. I'm not all angsted out about it like I was a couple of days ago...now I'm just excited and antsy to meet my baby and get on with being a mama!

Glad your boys enjoyed Rent!

I guess I did make senior member. Woo-wee! Does that mean I get to boss around all of the non-senior members now?

Hello everyone. My computer has been down for a few days so I have been out of touch and slowly going insane without MDC. It is still on the fritz, so I am using a friend's computer. Boy did we pop out some babies these last few days or what? Well I took the castor oil (you can read about it on the castor oil thread) and it did nothing for me except make me poop. However, it looks like it worked for Plagio and MamaFern. You go girls. So, I am still pregnant (2 days late). I lost a bit of my plug today, but I am not holding my breath for labor to start. Sooooo frusterating. I wonder how many of us there are left that haven't had babies. Congrats to all of you mamas who have! Good luck to those of you who are still waiting.

Yay yay yay mamafern!!! You go laboring mama! I can't wait to hear all about it & meet your Ngaio. I look forward to hearing if your girl prediction was right. I am soo happy for you.

Btw Amygirl28, the castor oil, used with blue & black cohosh, worked wonders for me. I'll get over to the oil thread when Mr Chicken Legs will let me.
