Heaters in the kids bedrooms?

Ok all the rooms/bedrooms in the house have floor vents so it's not like there is no heat in them . This is the first winter the kids are sleeping in their own rooms (well for part of the night, they start coming into our room around 12, this is fine with us).

Anyway their bedrooms get kind of cold, their windows are sealed, including the plastic blowdryer stuff, and heavy curtains, leaving the doors open helps with dd's room but not ds's (end of the hall, twist in hallway...). I'm thinking about getting small heaters to put in them to keep them a bit warmer.

Thoughts ideas? I'd of course look for all the bells and whistles when it comes to safety features.

We just moved and have gas heat at our new place. We are trying to go very easy on the use until we find out how much the bill will be. For the bedrooms we are using oil filled electric heaters, we got them a couple of years ago at around $30 each. They do get warm on the outside, not quite hot enough to burn but not something I want them touching. I either turn them off and unplug them when we are not sleeping or if it is very cold I turn them down and close the doors.
