NIP on Nightline

I just happened to glance at the TV while Nightline was on tonight as they mentioned a Sudanese woman nursing her child as she was working.The babe looked bigger than a 6 month old and was completly out in the open, no blanket smothering it.I'm amazed it made it past the censors.

Yes, that seems to be the paradigm. I guess that means that somehow a white woman's modesty is more valuable and precious than some woman from a developing country.
I think that's absolutely the difference. It's disgusting to be treated so differently and to be treated like her modesty is less important and that I'm to be shamed for breastfeeding.

This one would be especially great if two mamas of different races are NIP while chatting.

My best friend irl is black, maybe we should go to the mall and let it all hang out and see if anyone says anything. Actually, we've done taht before. We're so used to sitting at home chatting while nursing, when we're in public, we forget where we are adn let more boob show that we normally would in public. No one's ever said anything. I think it's the "there's safety in numbers" thing.

I hate to be negative but you read my mind. I think when they show things like that on TV it is almost a way to separate the "civilized" world even more. Because here in the US you see stories about women pumping in closets for their babies.

Maybe thats why I've never been told to leave some of the same places my wihte friends have had problems with,I'm just too "ethnic" looking.
