Hey there . . .

I know we are all dealing with PPD/Anxiety/Depression . . .

I just wanted to make you all aware of the Needy Mom/Holiday Help thread in TOA (link in my sig). I had an appointment with my therapist this past week . . . my "homework" from her included getting more exercise and donating something (money, time, baked or crafted items or gentle used items) to a shelter or the Salvation Army. She told me that doing such a thing helps your body release the "I feel good hormones" and it gives you a lift.

I was going to donate to the Salvation Army when I saw this thread . . . I have gently used clothing that I can donate to another MDC mom in need.

I gotta say . . . it is making me feel more positive . . . if only it lasts for today.

That's a really great point.

I was in Joanne's the other day buying fabric and most people had coupons. I was out of the loop. I chatted with the lady behind me about her projects, asked where she got her coupon, when the deadline was, etc. I say "eh, I'll just buy today, it's hard enough to get here as it is." We talked for another 10 minutes or so. Our fabric got cut at the same time because there were two cutters. She said "here, you have my coupon. I'll only save $5, you'll save $16." I offered her $5 for it, she wouldn't take it. I was having a bad day otherwise and I felt so overwhelmed by her generosity, tears came to my eyes.
