Landon Farrell was born around 4 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 21. He weighed in at 10 pounds 7 ounces! (no one could believe it)
We are doing quite well. It was a fairly quick birth...water broke a little after 9 and he was out 7 hours later. He was partly born in water, but the midwife needed a little better access b/c he had a nuchal cord and moved me from the pool to the bed once his head was out (waddling to the bed holding his head was a really weird feeling
) I have a very minor tear that needed no stitching and have had minimal bleeding. But, I've had wicked afterpains and much nipple soreness (I thought the 2nd was supposed to be easier??
)
He's a little jaundiced, so we are watching that. And we had the PKU test done today only to find out that it may have to be redone b/c the lab may not be open Friday and the sample won't be viable come Monday.

I've been trying to post since yesterday, but for some reason the laptop wouldn't cooperate.
