I mean....really!?! The kid has little chance of a normal life outside of the womb, so toast s/he up with daily ultrasound while its in there? Does this come with a trained radiologist to monitor them?

The 43-year-old actor said the couple will do their own sonograms, which show fetus development with ultrasound waves.
He is *so* freaking weird. ...and already turning that poor fetus into a specimen.

He is so weird. It seems weird to me that he is so against medical intervention for ppd, but has not problem buying an u/s machine, which I am guessing he isn't liscensed to use. That poor baby.

He is such a nut. Scientology advocates against a mother scream during labor, but he buys a contraption so he can zap the kid with nonionizing radiation at will before it is born.

I guess not. One of our favorite games to play when I was pregnant was 'name that body part', where we would guess if we were feeling a knee or elbow, hand or foot, head or butt.

I hope her baby doesnt end up with cancer from the daily ultrasounds.

I read somewhere (maybe CNN.com or MSNBC.com) that Tom Cruise has slipped from being the 11th most admired celebrity to something like #137 putting him in the company of Pauly Shore. I can see why. I feel sorry for this child of Tom and Kate.

I would think that SOMEONE would have told them that too many sonograms is not the greatest idea. I hope that this is not true. And yes one of our favorite games was also guess the body part.

Nice to know that for once I agree with the majority of the world over something.

Yikes!

My opinion of him continues to sink lower and lower. How low can you go? I feel soo sad for their baby

what an absolute creep i mean, is he that controlling that his babe cant even develop in the womb w/o him poking and prodding at it?

and what does he mean they will do there own sonograms? are they going to be getting any information on the babe, or just spying on it and giving it it's daily dose of radiation?

That is exactly what I was thinking too. I was like, WTF? You publicly bash a woman for treating PPD with meds, but you'll subject your baby to ultrasound anytime you wish? Can we say H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-T ?

He's just too weird for me.

That poor kid, I feel so sorry for it already

My one hope is that after Katie has the baby it will awaken the mama bear instinct and she's going to run for the hills with baby in tow.

One can dream, can't they? :

Hey, I like Pauly Shore.

Oh, and I heard an expression today and I think it applies to T.C. ....

"nuttier than squirrel sh*t"

Yeah, I've found myself thinking that before I quickly snuff the thought out and think that it's not nice to wish ill on Katie because of her sicko boyfriend...

I read this just last night in People magazine, I guess he said this when she interviewed him for her 10 Most Interesting People show. I am making sure to watch this because you KNOW she will put that on the air for sure! Sick, poor Katie poor kid. In the Poeple article there was a side bar and said, in general sonograms were not harmful but that unless a person was trained they might turn the waved up too high and possibly damage the baby, now why would you try to operate that yourself? I REALLY hope they have someone come to the house to do this for them at the very least
