Well, not yet. But I am up at 1:10 am with semi-regular KILLER ctx. I think I forgot what they felt like in the five years since my daughter was born. My whole family is asleep and I don't know whether to call in the calvary (MIL, doula, etc). I am friggin tired. And I tried sleeping but I keep waking up every time I have one.

Big sluggy mucus plug came out, I think my waters are leaking a bit ... hmm. I called MW after mucus plug came out and she said call back when 5 mins apart regularly. Egad. Won't be long at this rate.

Things that help so far:

Hot shower
Breathing
Pretending like it doesn't hurt a bit...not so much.

Oooh- this sounds good Very good, in fact BABIES!!!!
If you're on the puter for a while, feel free to messenger me if you think the distraction will help (it's 9.30am here, so I'm up, kids are at school and it's not like I have anything else to do today.)

thanks for the offer ... how do you PM someone (dur, I really don't know).

For right now, I'm going to go try and rest. They're spacing out a bit (6 mins to 10 mins) but lasting longer. And I am so, so tired...

Hey Bex80 I changed my mind and decided to eat something and see if that will put me to sleep. Mmm granola and muesli, how else to start out a natural birth?

Do your ctx hurt deep in your cervix and through your whole uterus and you can't even think about anything else at all? That is what this feels like, I hope it's the real thing. Hot dang, did I forget. I have thought I had contractions before this pregnancy, but nothing has ever felt like this...

I am using this contraction tracker tool...

because I am sucky with numbers, math, and timing anything. It's a great tool.

ok, now i really am going to try to lay down. Laying down is hurting worse when having one...

That sure sounds like a real contraction to me! That's what I remember mine feeling like. Sounds promising.

My advice is to get some rest and if that doesn't work, wake people! You need support!

I hope you have a wonderful, safe, quick, and easy birth!

How exciting!!!!! Well it's been 4 hours since your last post, so I'm going to assume that things are really happening for you. Sending gentle birthing vibes and I can't wait to hear that your baby is HERE!!!

PS: THanks for that link - that is so cool!!

Sounds like labor and not that silly prodormal stuff we've all waded through these past weeks. Hope so anyway.

And I have to say, regularly five minutes apart never happened this time for me. I was so glad that my midwives came right away when I called with ROM. I felt a little silly sitting around watching TV with the apprentice, but it wasn't long until I was rocking and rolling with crazy contractions...most of which only lasted 30 seconds or so, some which felt like they never ended (a rebozo is a wonderful thing). Anyway, just saying I got to pushing without ever settling into a nice, neat pattern like we are "supposed" to.

Looking forward to hearing about your birth.

Well, the boys are back from school, so it's probably 7am where you are, and there's no update yet to say everything stopped...I'm really, really hoping this is good news

Oh, wow!! Well, now it's been several hours, so hopefully something is really happening for you over there!! Can't wait to hear!

Yep, that's how my contractions felt, too.

I must have gotten offline too soon to see your response. My contractions weren't like that at all. Unfortunately...But it sounds like today may have been the big one for you, mama!!

Going crazy with anticipation....
