I am, but not for a lot of people. Only us and DH's folks - simple. But also feels sort of lonely - I miss my sister. WAAAAHHHH - she just moved last weekend to MI - she get a white holiday.

We are having:

turkey & ham with gravy
stuffing
biscuits with cranberry butter
cranberry sauce
Brandied yams
steamed veggies
pumpkin pie.

All homemade. I do enjoy cooking from scratch - I just don't do it to this extent - and I did cheat and buy a Honeybaked Ham & Turkey breast - why improve on perfection I always say...

What's on your menu??? MMMMMMM - I want those biscuits NOW. LOL. Hope you have a great day!

I was just going to post a "Happy Thanksgiving Thread". We are going to in-laws for our feast. MIL does a really nice job w/these type of things. We have been watching the parade w/the kids this morning - very exciting stuff for a 6 and 4 year old.

Hope everyone has a wonderful, nauseous-free day!

Oooh, we hosted dinner for dh's family last night and go to my parents today.

Last night I made:

25lb Turkey
mashed potatoes
gravy (SIL made)
corn
dressing
sweet potatoes (MIL made)
noodles (SIL made)
dessert
and nephew picked up some store bought rolls because we made the difficult decision to return our dog to the humane society and I just didnt get the yeast rolls going.

Today we'll have:
turkey
dressing
mashed potatoes and gravy
green bean casserole
corn
homemade yeast rolls
pumpkin pie with whipped cream

Mmmm! I can't wait!

Hope everyone has a lovely day! My tummy is flipping right now so I just hope I can enjoy my food later today- once and not twice!

Happy Thanksgiving! Wow, I hosted...I'm stuffed (and it's the morning after), here's what our menu looked like!

22 lb Turkey
8 lb Turducken
Mashed potatoes
Dressing
Gravy
Corn casserole
Green bean casserole
"other variety" veg casserole
spinach artichoke casserole
sweet potatoes ( not a casserole!)
rolls
cranberries, whole and canned
pecan pie
pumpkin pie

I have enough food for two more dinners in addition to the usual leftover days of thanksgiving. Into the freezer it goes! It'll be nice to have some other day when I'm too tired to cook.
