Book recommendations please!!!

I'm looking for something entertaining to read while in the waiting room at the girls dance classes, DRs offices, etc.
Ideally something about people who live a "Natural Family lifestyle".
Ideas: midwives, Amish, people who've built log cabins in the bush alone, pioneers, that kind of thing...
I really liked: "The Baby Catcher" (it was awesome!) & "Spiritual Midwifery"
The girls and I have enjoyed reading "Little House on the Prairie" books & the "Love Comes Softly" series.

Got any suggestions?

I really enjoyed The Red Tent. Don't remember who wrote it, but it takes the Biblical story of some Old Testament women and sorta reinvents their story to give a female perspective. The red tent is where the women stay when they are menstrating, pregnant, or are post-partum. Midwivery is a focal point.

There are many other series by Janette Oke ( she wrote the Loves comes softly series which I loved as well).

also Beverly Lewis, Abrahams Daughters series was AWESOME!

This isn't so "natural," but I really enjoyed this book, _Expecting Adam: A True Story of Birth, Rebirth, and Everyday Magic_by Martha Beck.
