Born at 1.01pm after three hours of very gentle active labour, just popped into mummy's hands seconds after the waters broke. She's absolutely gorgeous, nursing beautifully (and constantly) and worth every second of the last month.
Full name is Skye Diane Selkie Neale, and she weighs 8lb 5 oz.

Birth story is here:

Yes, the lack of penis is a total shock, because I was sure I saw three pawnbrokers balls. I am in fear and terror, and I have no idea how I'm going to cope with the next 18 years of trying to raise a daughter.
That said, she is absolutely gorgeous, and apart from the fact that my nipples feel like they've been put through a food processor we wouldn't know she was here I don't know why the November babies are so small- we've only got one 10lber, I think- but she was pretty close to the ultrasound guestimate- they reckoned 7-8lb, so it's not far off.

OMG Helen, she is beautiful and I LOOOOVED your birth story, especially this:

Quote:
we started semi- seriously considering the possibility that this baby would be born in hospital, on childrens ward, by Isaacs bedside.
Even in your birth story, you are hilarious.

I loved the picture with you and your DH and Isaac and Alex - all such cuties! It's so good to finally see YOU!

Thanks for sharing. I am so happy for you!
