I'm thinking we need to pull dsd out of her public school since her educational needs aren't being met. That would leave private school or homeschool. I love the idea of homeschooling, but I'm not a SAHM> I work full time and DH stays home, so he'd be the one teaching. But all the homeschoolers I know are/were taught by their moms. I was just wondering if there are anying homeschooling DHs?

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

You can read chapters from some of his books on his website.
And David Colfax partnered with his wife, Micki, in their homeschooling experience: Hard Times in Paradise.

My dh might end up doing it if I can't find a work from home job.

My dh takes part in homeschooling when he is home. I still hear everyday how much fun the last math lesson with dad was 2 months ago. Apparently i'm not fun lol! but i think its easier too for him because we use a curriculum out of a box so there it is all right there for him what she needs to learn sample questions etc. It also makes it easy because when gramie visits she can choose to 'play' school too.

My husband is the stay-at-home partner in our family, and we're just getting going with homeschooling our 4 year old. There's an in-built bias in much of the homeschooling material towards the mom being the 'schooling' parent, but then that's the case with all parenting materials and groups out there, pretty much.
My work hours are nutty, but I plan to be involved too - there's no reason I can't do cool stuff with her on evenings and weekends!
