It's a boy!

Well, we finally had our little boy. We are so shocked. We thought for sure we were having another girl. It will be so nice to have at least one intact boy in DH's family (everyone is intact in my family). Labor was short, but intense - 2.5 hours with a total of about 6 minutes pushing. He was born in his water bag! Weird. But he has perfect apgar scores and is nursing like it's going out of style. We're probably going to name him Angus, but not certain yet. Our last name is scottish so we figure we could get away with it. He was born around 5:44 a.m and weighed 7 lbs 4 oz. Smaller than my 2 girls were (8.2 and 8.6). Looks like I get to go shopping for little boy clothes!

Little boys are great

Cool that he was born in the water bag- I wish I could see what that looks like!

So glad it sounds like you had a fast uncomplicated labor!

Enjoy your little boy, I'm sure the girls will just dote on him!

wonderful! boys are so great! (at least i adore mine.. who just moments ago lathered my whole face in kisses that smelled like popcorn ) enjoy your babymoon

That is such great news! I love being a boy mom. I'm expecting a girl after 2 boys so I will soon see the flip side too!

Congratulations to you!! Was your boy born on the 26th or 27th? We had such similar birthing experiences. I was positive mine would be a girl but turned out to be a boy too, he was my 3rd & my labor was 2.5 hours AND he was born at 5:40am on the 26th with a perfect apgar. That's pretty neat. I was curious if I'd had one the shortest labors in our ddc.

I hope you have a blissful babymoon & are loving your surprise boy like crazy! Post pictures if you can! :
