Yay Best Buy!

My husband works for Best Buy here in Springfield, IL and one of his friends/coworkers just came off of maternity leave so dh has become her "pump guard" He guards the door of whatever room she's pumping in. Well, the manager in the store has just supplied a mini fridge for her and another nursing mom who works there. They also have no problem with the second nursing mama's sister bringing in the mama's baby to nurse on her breaks. This store has always been supportive of breastfeeding mamas (bannned and had arrested a man who was being rude to a nursing customer). Just spreading some positive news

think of how empty the doctors offices would be this winter if every place of business treated their lactating employees with this respect! way to go, best buy.

should we write to best buy asking them to encourage such supportive policies?

wow, now i have a reason to patronize them!!

Wow That is great. Especially with the amount of $$ my hubby dumps at that store!

that's really cool...it's nice to see a company support their employees as well as protect the rights of women patronizing their store!

Wow that's cool! I always like that store so I am really glad they are supportive of BFing. Was the unruly customer arrested at that store or another Best Buy? I hope that being pro-bfing is a nation-wide policy thing

Same Best Buy. I could have swore I posted about this... in fact I'm positive I did but I can't find it The guy was harassing a nursing mama and it escalated to him being arrested and banned.

Oh, Best Buy also acknowledges same sex partners (and extends insurance and benefits to them).

Hmmmmmm, maybe I should forgive them for breaking my Dyson. I mean they did give me a new one and now I find out they support bf.

Well, I think we should all write letters telling them how much we love them for this.

That's really cool but could you PLEASE not tell my dh about it? He really doesn't need any more reasons to spend money in that store!

That's fantastic! I just passed this information along to Best Buy's corporate office via planetfeedback.com
