So, I was talking about my kids and how I have a 4 month old who exclusively nurses (refuses bottles when I'm gone, reverse cycles). This teen girl piped up with, "you know you could have your husband bring her up here and you can feed her, it's legal to do that anywhere." I tried so hard not to laugh, but it was so cute and she was so adamant. I just shoke my head yes and said yeah, I feed her when she gets hungry, doesn't matter where. I just thought it was cool that she knew that, and how serious she was. Maybe she'll be a future breastfeeding mama.

Sounds like the kind of thing I would have said when I was a teenager! Actually, at that age I would have encouraged you to bring the baby to nurse so I could get a chance to see/play with her!

I was expecting a negative comment too. That's just wonderful and she DOES sound like a future breastfeeding mom :

It just shows that there is no such thing as bad publicity... every time breastfeeding makes it in the news it makes an impression. Did your state pass bf'ing legislation just recently?

Me too, wait, I'd do that now

When I was a baby and Mom was in the reserves, on her "one weekend a month" Dad'd bring me out onto the field for nursing.
