Several newspapers have recently misrepresented Dr. Sears’ parenting advice. The news stories suggested that Dr. Sears is changing his advice on Attachment Parenting, and taking a less baby-friendly approach to handling sleep problems. We would like to set the record straight and assure all our readers that this is not true. We will always support Attachment Parenting to the fullest, and continue to practice AP with our own kids for generations to come. We support, and practice, co-sleeping, night-nursing, baby-wearing, and responding to baby’s cry (language) as strongly as ever.

interesting. I just read an editorial in TIME that was mostly about Ferber, but did make mention of Sears, and IMO indicated that Dr. Sears was "backpedaling" a bit. I didn't put much stock in it anyway.

interestingly, part of the jist of the essay was that FERBER is the one doing some major backpedaling on his CIO stance, which I thought was really cool.

I saw Ferber on the Today Show within the past couple of weeks. I wanted to :Puke ! I think he was promoting a new book.

I'm glad that there is a doctors out there like Sears that advocates for attachment parenting and all of the things that go along with it but I personally lost all respect for the doctors Sears when they started pimping formula.
