I know someone here in Minnesota that had a homebirth vbac after FOUR c-sections. so I know it can be done! It did take awhile and it was a lot of work, but it happened!

homebirth after two c-sections here. wow, can i say that eight million times?! it is soooooo fantastic. i had clumps of scar tissue that i could feel after my first (terrible stitiching -- my second ob could hardly believe it). i could've danced a jig after my third's birth. it took months to heal after my sections. i just wanted to let you know that we homebirthin' vbacs after multiple c-sections are out here (and damn joyful!). blessings to you

You have your Kennedys correct. I think it is Kathleen Kennedy Townsend you are thinking of. I grew up hearing "you look so much like Caroline Kennedy" from my grandmother, who knew Rose K, and lived not too far from her...(I guess i really do look a little like her! )

I'm planning a homebirth after 3 c/s next July with a homebirth midwife! Praying that you find a midwife that fits your family and situation!

Isnt there a midwife that posts here that is in Spartanburg, SC area? How close is that to you? I thought her name was Carrie.....but I could be wrong. Let me try to do a search on here.

just to let you know, my c/s's didnt cause any of my problems. babe's position did, but not the c/s's. i was terrified of rupture but it didnt happen. i had the babe after a very long labor and am very happy i did (wasn't so happy at the time! lol!).
the way look at this, i chose to have the pain during birth than after.
good luck with whatever decision you make...just speak to many ppl before going w/ the ob!
