I don't go by temperature, I go by feel. I am guessing that at about 20 it startes to feel too cold. Mainly I go by this: if the inside of my nose freezes when I go out, it's too cold for the kids to play outside. Ramona's cheeks get flaming red and then get so dry they crack, even when I am slathering on lotion and oil. As much as I want the kids outside every day, it's not worth damaging her skin.
Yesterday I was going to take the preschool co-op kids outside to look for animal tracks in the snow. On the way to co-op I heard that it was 7 degrees with a windchill factpr of -5. We didn't go out!!
Namaste!
