This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Hi, I don't like answering a question with another questions LOL ...but here i go...
Whats the difference between a sewing machine & serger, with a serger do you have to cut the material or does the machine do that for you?
Are sergers those machines that make button holes, can you embroider with them too?
This Forum is really cool, I make alot of dolls, but I'm getting more & more into sewing
Blessings,
Lisa

I have this serger and I think it's great! Of course it's the only serger that I've ever had so I am not speaking from vast experience here.
I have used it mostly for diapers so far. As a serger newbie, it was a bit tricky for me to adjust the diff feed and tension settings at first. But once I got it figured out, I was pleased with the results. I was able to serge easily through 2 layers of sherpa plus an layer of velour, but when I tried 3 layers sherpa with 1 layer velour it didn't go so well. It wasn't the knife that gave me trouble, it was getting the finished edge to look nice and not be all bunchy and wavy. So again, it could be my inexperience and not the machine.
From all the research I did, this model seemed to be a great all-purpose, above basic machine. You know, one that is not highly specialized but not the bottom of the barrel either. I like to think of it as a machine I can grow into as my skills develop. Hopefully by the time I want to upgrade I will be rich enough from selling my fabulous serged goods to be able to afford one of those $2k gold-plated Berninas!
HTH and good luck with your decision!
