Is it PPD or just depression?

I know I'm depressed. I was clinically depressed when I was younger and I recognize it. But, I'm 6 mths PP, so is it called PPD, or just depression at this point? It's only getting worse everyday.

I have heard that PPD can set in several months PP, but I'm no expert. Maybe you could call your midwife? Is there another health care professional you feel comfortable with?

I don't really have any healthcare professionals that I know here in CO... we recently moved in September. I suppose I could call my midwife, but I haven't had contact with her since the four week PP appointment, so I feel kinda (okay, very) odd about it. I hate making calls period.

I guess it doesn't really make a difference whether it's PPD or depression actually... I just like having labels for things. Makes things seem more ordered for me.
