due to vaccines. Trying to get facts straight. Correct me if I'm wrong or missing some..

Chicken pox=Shingles later in life

Smallpox=coxsackie and monkey pox
(is that why growing up in the 70's coxsackie was never heard of? I never encountered it or heard of it til the 90's)

Prevnar invented because of the HIB vaccine

Old Polio and old Hep=cancers and AIDS

HIB=pneumococcus/meningitis
HIB displaced Haemophillus

DPT=viral Hep's and SIDS increase

Measles=bowel disorders,atopy(skin conditions)allergies

I'm not sure what you're saying, but chicken pox and shingles are the same virus. If you've ever had chicken pox or the vax, you could get shingles later, as shingles are a reactivation of the chicken pox virus, generally triggered by stress.

You are on the right track, but there are a couple of issues. Some of the diseases you listed are actually caused by the vaccine. So it's not a matter of "instead of getting pertussis, now kids die of SIDS." It's more, "Because of the DPT vax, the incidents of SIDS has dramatically increased."

And shingles in children.

Coxsackie was around, and they knew of it, and many of the polio epidemics attributed to polio were actually coxsackie, and admitted as such in early med journals, but the records were never amended.

If you mean Pneumococcus expanded and stepped in to fill the space left by the Hib removed by the vaccine, yes.

Old Polio and old Hep=cancers and AIDS
Salk and Sabin + Sv40 = cancer.

HepB = Aids? No.

But if you read The River by Edward hooper he argues that the early polio vaccine contained a monkey aids virus, and in the Times in 1980, there was an article, which I think I have a copy of, that attributes the spread of AIDS to the african smallpox campaign. Both of those theories are unproven.

No, they aren't the same.

The Hib vaccine eliminated Hib, allowing space for other bacteria to proliferate.

No, I don't think the DPT had anything to do with the Hepatitis increases. That was spread by untested blood transfusions, and in the forties many USA military got Hepatitis B contaminated Yellow Fever vaccine, which was certainly the cause (in my opinion) of the introduction to the Alaskan inuit, who had, previous to some of their men in the National Guard receiving that vaccine, never had Hep B in their population.

Re SIDS? In my opinion, yes, but the connection is a complicated one, and generally tied in with bottlefed babies rather than breastfed babies.

[qute]Measles=bowel disorders,atopy(skin conditions)allergies

julie[/QUOTE] That is the theory of Andrew Walker, but I believe the rampant use of tylenol/paracetamol and antibiotics in babyhood has more to do with opening the gut up, to a final insult from MMR, and/or thiomersal in the old vaccines, than the vaccines themselves.

The issue is very multifactorial and can't be laid solely at the blame of vaccines.
