Are your breasts leaking? - Page 2

Yep, that's what they are called! Thanks duckat.

No leakage here - I've been lactating since DS was born (June 2003) so it's sort of strange to have dried up during pregnancy.

With DS I wore washable organic pads (totally noticeable if I wore anything that resembled tight, but I didn't really give a hoot), and had to wear them for about a year. After that, my supply was pretty well regulated and haven't worn any pads of any sort since (and for the past 5 months wouldn't have needed anythign anyway).

I think I'm starting to produce a bit again. The breasts are swelling a bit (not hard to notice when I'm normally a 34B), but not sore yet (thankfully).

Pads are the way to go. I would use a towel at night, as I didn't really like wearing a bra 24-7, and I could get away with it. Early on (right after birth) the breasts seem to be really full and still in 'supply/demand figuringout' mode.

Cheers,

No leaking, but I do get a letdown sensation sometimes when I'm nursing DD. I always check to see if the opposite one is leaking, but it hasn't yet. That's fine with me because I'm sure I'll be leaking plenty when this baby is born!

I have started leaking out of one side if I'm not wearing a bra (the friction.) It's pretty much what I expected.

I am actually pretty excited b/c I just got wool nursing pads from a WAHM... they seem very cool, I know I'll like them better than the disposable pads I used. I haven't tried the lilypadz... I don't think they'd work for me, part of my problem is just oversupply and OAL and I don't know how they'd supress that, lol.
