Why Gender Matters?

Anyone read this book by Leonard Sax? I just finished it and was wondering if any moms want to discuss.

I found his theories interesting...some make perfect sense while others are based totally on culture and not science at all. He proclaims the entire time that it's all science, it's all in the brain, these innate biological/neurological differences...but most of his examples describe children that are entirely influenced by culture with no science to back it up.

Any thoughts?

The book made me think about my kids as teenagers and how our actions/brain chemistry, etc. will create a young person who has so many cultural hurdles to face. At least it got me thinking...not that I want to think of my kids as teenagers yet, but we'll be there sooner before later!

He wrote frankly about teenagers' sexual lives these days...scary! I had no idea it was that crazy! I thought it was bad for me!

Anyway, the book has some good and bad parts of it. Take from it what you can, if you want to read it.
