Yikes, that was a heck of a rant above, even though I do see what she's trying to say.

We do as you do CanidFL, its an in home care provider, another little girl, she's there part time now. Last year we gave her a weeks pay ( definatly not the $10 an hour the other poster mentioned) although I gave her a raise shortly after starting with her, I thought her price was too low! She's worth more if I could afford it! This year we did the same, a week. I guess I see her more like a friend than an employee, we pay off the books, so she gets all the money we pay her. I buy her gifts during the year, holidays, her birthday etc, to ensure she understands how much we appreciate her and how well our daughter has been taken care of with her!

Ok that is like our situation. We gave a bday present this year too. I love our DCP and would give her more if we could but it’s simply not possible. She treats DS so well and I rave about her all the time to my friends.

Hah! I did not notice that the OP was over 3 years old. Funny!

I feel like we've been spammed (or something like it) by NanniesRUs.

our financial situation precluded me from giving a week's bonus this year, and although i felt bad, i can only give what my family can afford.

the mommy guilt never ends.
