CM question

DS is 10 months old, and has started to eat solids in the last month or so. We are still nursing anywhere between 8-14 times per day, but some days much less and some more. We co-sleep so he is nursing on demand at night too. I have not yet had a PP AF. A few days ago I had some wet CM, the first since before I gave birth. It only lasted a day, and wasn't very stretchy, just wet and clear. The last couple days I've been relatively dry. Today I have a thin, creamy discharge. I would like to start charting so I can get on track to predict my ovulation, but I'm not sure when and where I should start. Do you think this CM is pre-O? I've heard there can be a few false starts before the real thing. Any suggestions? We would prefer to try to avoid becoming pregnant for at least another 8 months, but we have not been consistent in using a barrier method, so I need to start charting.

Thanks!

It could be preO CM. If it were me, I'd just start charting and see if AF shows up in a few days to confirm it was O. Charting while bfing can be a bit of a challenge, so reread any info you can about charting under these conditions
