What's on your needles right now?

Is anyone else ready for another 'what's on your needle's' thread ?

I just finally finished a sweater (to dye for from s&b) that i've been working on since summer.

Next up is a pair of slippers for ds that i'm crocheting from this pattern out of a beautiful blue lopi wool. I recently made a pair for my nephew~they go fast, and look a little like padraigs when they're done.

What's everyone else working on right now?

I think im in WAY over my head.

A tie-one-on from knitty, totally improvised and not folowing the pattern, for my mom.

I wan tto post after Christmas is over or everything is done, what I have accomplished in a picture album.

Next up- FIL wants mittens, SIL wants leg warmers.Other SIL gets a one-skein wondeer(already made) My brother gets a hat(already made) My dad0 don't know yet. My MIL- not sure.
And I amtrying to finish Blackberry from knitty for myself. And longies as usual.

GAH!

Well I'm trying to knit-up a soaker for DS ... and I'm working on a sweater for him for x-mas from Last Minute Knitted Gifts .... w/ plans to do some knitted veggies also for xmas for him.

I also need to replace the longies that DH felted (yeah, I prolly won't stop complaining about that for a while, folks) ... and the winter hat which met the same demise.

I'm *supposed* to be finished a sweater for my niece which has been a long time coming in time for Christmas ... don't know if that'll happen or not.

Alright, let's see. I've got a scarf for my sister, a pink and cream colored hat for Sara, felted mocs for Madyson, and I'm casting on a hat for a mama here at MDC. She's trading me these gorgeous soaps!!!!!!

The only thing actually on needles right now is my never-ending baby blanket (NEBB), which may or may not be done in time for the child's 5th birthday. (Actually the babe is not quite 2 months old and I hope to be able to present it to him when we go to their house for dinner next month).

Yesterday I finished a toddler hat (children's cotton hat from Last Minute Knitted Gifts), only to discover it's too small for my sons. : I made two of these hats last month but decided I need to do new ones b/c a) these were my first hats (and my first time doing anything in the round, and my first time using dpns) and I made several shaping mistakes, and b) I decided they didn't look quite right on my boys with the i-cord, so I wanted to do a stripe there instead. The hats were just a little loose on one of my boys, so I decided this time to go with the middle measurements (for toddlers, rather than the largest, for children). Finished the hat yesterday, it's super-cute, didn't make the shaping mistakes this time, and it doesn't begin to fit. Argh. Well, I guess the little baby who's getting the NEBB will also be getting a hat he can wear next winter.

So, next up for me will be two more toddler hats (in the right sizes!), then mittens and slippers (the new slippers from LTK). And I'll be doing several facecloths and washcloths both to break up the monotony of the NEBB and to do something quick and easy compared to the new learning I'll be doing with the mittens and slippers.

Oops - none of that is stuff that's on my needles "right now", except the NEBB. But this week it will be!

swimmin mama - which sweater are you doing in LMKG? Is it the last one, with the zipper? That looks really nice! Don't you just love that book? I want to knit nearly everything in it....

I've been mostly lurking here, but I'd like to jump in, so here goes:

I just finished a toy penguin for ds2, and now both of my nieces want one too...so there's that...

and I'm 1/4 of the way through a blue pull-over hooded sweater for myself, but I put that aside for the penguins (why do I always shelve MY stuff?)

I'm also working on a throw for ds1, which is taking *forever*, but I'm knitting on a diagonal, so I can't just end it...

and I have one sock of a pair finished--but that was knitted LAST year, so I'm not real hopeful about that project!

hi!

i am proud to say only ONE thing is on my needles. it has been really downright hard to not start another project, this one is taking so long.

i am knitting the Flowered Waistcoat from the last spring Interweave Knits. yk, this. i guess ive been working on it since spring, too- minus 2 months in summer when we moved and i didnt knit at all.

you can see my progress on my knitting blog, its been slow but i am on my last piece!

of course, right before typing this i was thinking about putting it down and knitting matching hats for the kids for christmas... so tempting to cheat on my current never ending project... must resist...

I have two handbags on the needles. They are Xmas gifts for friends. One is the cable knit bag from last minute knitted gifts. The other is one I'm making up as I go along. I just finished a felted bag for another friend for Xmas.

I also have a pair of socks for my dad for Xmas that I'd like to finish. I started them a couple of years ago.

Then I want to knit some little booties and a hat for a friend's new baby. She's not due til the end of the month, but they might induce early so she can be home for Xmas.

So that's all for now. I might start a sweater for myself after the holidays.

Right now, just a scarf for MIL (or SIL...depends on how the colors turn out, since I'm mixing a hand-dyed wool and fun fur!). I need to start another one for whichever IL doesn't get the first one. I just finished my mom's scarf, a pair of felted mocs for my oldest dd for Christmas, and 3.5 pairs of felted mocs that aren't for Christmas (one pair for dh, one pair for youngest dd, one pair for middle dd, and a half pair that I screwed up on. I felted it and hung it on the Christmas tree!)

I have two projects: a 50/50 cotton/acrylic scarf for my mother for Xmas using a pattern I made up as I went along and GOA yarn and a toddler hat for afghansforafghans.org using some blue peace fleece donated by a mama from MDC. It's the umbilical cord hat from SnB except that I use DPN to do the cord instead of i-cord and I'm making the pattern larger to fit a toddler instead of an infant.

Oops - double post!

I'll take this time to shamelessly promote my knitting blog, which I just started. You can see what I'm working on there.

Actually, not too much right now! (Although it's not really something to be proud of because there's a ton of stuff I need to cast on...)

~Felted mocs for 3 yo's Xmas gift
~Hat for my secret Santa at work - from Vogue' Chunky Scarves and Hats, out of Manos
~Noro Daria belt for me
~Longies I have been working on since October that I just don't want to finish

Gifts I still have to start:

2 sweaters (but one is going to be on the machine)
4 hats
1 pair of felted mocs

I'm knitting a stroller blanket for dd's friend's upcoming baby boy(did that make sense?). It's a made up pattern, sort of a basketweave look and I'm not sure how I'll do the edges--I'm thinking of a bobble, but we'll see when I get there! Oh, and it's made of the notorious Lion Brand Homespun because it's so washable that the kid can drop it out of the stroller all he wants and it'll be still good to carry it around to college as a lovie .

And I'm doing a sweater from Stitch'NBitch for my daughter in a periwinkle Kimono Silk. It's luscious to work with and I'm so tempted to keep it for myself , but no, I will resist and only ask to borrow it when she's too preggers to wear it.

I've got an crazy scarf going of all kinds of leftovers which will also probably go to Celeste as she's the only one who will appreciate my "creative" streak.

Need to get going on stuff for my nieces and sisters and mom. Ack!!! (Don't worry, I just finished longies, EZ's surprise sweater, hat and mittens for Miss Parker, my dgd!)

Can't wait to see everyone elses finished stuff! You're gonna post when you finish, right?

A hat, eventually to have ear flaps for my brother. Goal is to have this done by mid-week so I can mail it. :

A scarf for DD that I absolutely hate the look of and will probably rip apart.

And I'm gonna make me some mittens too. (again, I hope to have these done by mid-week. Not to mail, but to keep my poor hands warm! )

A poncho that's taking forever to knit and was supposed to be done before Christmas so that I could give it to my grandma, but it doesn't look like I'll finish it in time.

And another pair of LTK picky pant capris for DD2. I made a pair last week (pics in my blog linked in my siggy) and loved them so much and got so many compliments on them that I decided to knit her another pair.

I say we all post pics after we get all these things done. I know I am waaaaaaaaay overdue for that.
Tabitha-nice waistcoat!!!!!!

Ooooh I DO LOVE that book! Actually the sweater I'm working on is for DS ... I think it's the only child sweater in the book ... with the seed stitch at the hem and cuffs. Simple, pretty, easy to alter ...

By the way - I made the cotton hat in LMKG in a toddler size for my niece ... I tried it out on DS because she's just a couple months older ... it *barely* fits him at all ... he has a great big head, though so I'm hoping it will fit her. Wonder why we're both having the same prob ... what kind of cotton yarn did you use? I can't afford the 1824 whateveritis and just used some Sugar n Cream ... my only thought was perhaps they aren't the same weight.
