Showing off my waldorf doll!

I finally did it! I made a waldorf doll. This was from a magic cabin pattern.

Everybody, meet HOLLY!

She is lovely. Good work, mama!

For my dd's fourth b-day, I made a doll from the same kit... 'Katie' is very important around here. I finished one magic cabin sweet cheeks a few days ago, one more to go for the other dd... who just woke up from a nap!

She is beautiful! I love her hair! Is that your dd? She looks thrilled!

I especially love the face. You really made it your own. It is very unique and adorable. I think she looks like a real sweety!

I read the comment you made about the knit fabric being hard to sew- try using a crisp tracing paper underneath the fabric when you sew. I make a sandwich putting the fabric parts inbetween two slices of the paper, and pinning, then sewing. It takes a bit of time to tear away the paper, but if you use a crispy one, (not soft tissue!) it goes pretty fast and the results are worth it. Happy Dollmaking!!

Thanks! Yes, that is Flora and she really does love Holly. Unfortunately, Holly went on vacation for awhile but she's scheduled to return on Xmas.

EV Lowi> Thank you for that tip! I will try that, although the other dollmakers in the stitch and bitch did it by hand and it came out really nice that way too.

Does anyone know of a site with patterns for waldorf doll clothes? preferably FREE. I did manage to make a sling, so even though dd knows about the doll she should be surprised by the sling.

Thanks again for the kind feedback!
