Does this annoy anyone else?

I was hunting around the net for pro intact boards and came across this - http://love.ivillage.com/lnssex/sext...ti_lhk,00.html written by a Dr advising on sexual matters. Apart from promoting circ isn't her sexual 'advise' totaly the oppisit of the truth?? especialy her bit about " in a less friction-based manner" isn't it the intact penis that takes that claim, not the circumsised? It's one thing for regualr non medicle people to spout such stuff, but shouldn't a DR know better. That just really irks me. :

Yep, they don't come much more wrong than that one!

Yep, wrong from top to bottom. I've seen few sites other than pure circumcision fetish sites that have it more wrong.

Of course, you have to consider the source. That site is one of the most pro-circumcision parenting sites on the internet. I could grumble for hours about it.

I gave up on that site ages ago...just the thought of a visit to their "pro circumcision" board sends shivers up my spine.

They know the depravity that goes on in their circumcision support board and refuse to do anything about it. They even made their intactivist support board harder to find than their circumcision support board and their permanent informational article was written by a doctor who is a member of a group that vigorously supports circumcision as a requirement.

There is no question where their alliegiences are and what their intent is.

I wish I could just challenge him to a bout and be done with it, run him off the board. Or at least make it so he can't type. Curses on the Atlantic Ocean. Every time a mom comes to the pro-natural board about a problem her son is having, he posts some disgusting piece of pro-circ propaganda on his board. The sad thing is all the pro-circ moms that go there and listen to him. All like, T***, we love you so much! Yeah, it's pretty clear he has a thing for circ'ed little boys. And I'd only say that about two or three other pro-circ activists out there on the net.

Oh my goodness - I just went to that board and read his advice. It makes me feel sick to my stomach. It's hard to believe that he doesn't have a circumcision fetish.

I just feel sick, though, for the moms who go to him for advice and end up feeding that fetish. 'Makes me feel ill' doesnt' even begin to describe it.

Ugh, I know. He always asks mothers to come back and tell everyone about how their son's circumcision went. He wants the whole story, but is careful in the way that he asks for it, saying that it will help other parents make the decision.

Well, I'd love to see more visitors there-- there is the Child with Foreskin board and the Circ Debate board to try to counter the circ support board.

It is nice for the moms who do leave there sons intact to know that they are not alone.

BTW, intactness is at least so common that the 'circ decision' is at least know to be a debateable topic on all the expecting clubs. There are more moms that left past sons intact and more families from cultures where it is NOT the norm who are on the regular boards. Not that I understand how people can hear that info and still circumcise, but at least many more people are educated that they can make a decision.

That is why I still think major change needs to still go to the doctors, because parents will hear both sides and then what their doctor says undermines intactness or builds on their 'fears' based on the myths.

When I became involved in this, there were probably no more that 50 - 70 dedicated intactivist nationwide and little support outside that group. Now, there are thousands and the supportive number in the 10's of thousands. Mostly, only those who want to deceive parents put up much of an argument any more about the wonders of circumcision.

We've come a long way baby!
