Happy NIP Incident!

I was shopping with dd (6 months) today in the mall. She got tired and fussy and I knew it was time to nurse her. I was exhausted, too, after battling a cold all week, and was frustrated to see most of the comfy chairs in that section of the mall were taken. There are 2 groups of chairs there, with four in each group. There was one chair open, but there were men in each of the others and they all pretty much face each other. But dd was hungry and I was going to feed her. I was a little worried about the man nearest to me, an older gentleman (I'd say around 65), saying something or showing obvious displeasure so I tried not to make eye contact with him. I sat down, talked to dd as I got situated and got her out of the sling and discreetly nursed her. I then got her back in the sling and got up to leave. The older man catches my attention and says, "What a wonderful, beautiful baby and what a great mom," with a big smile on his face. Totally made my day!
