This thread has lots of pattern links for mama pads. Last month I made a bunch of different pads and 'test drove' them immediately. Being able to use them right away really helped me define what style and materials I liked, and determine the absorbancy I needed. I found I liked flannel, which made it easy for me to make different styles from flannel scraps. I have some gorgeous tie-dye print quilter's flannel that I will use for my 'good' pads, but they are all useable.
