anyone know of one?

Hmmmm...mine are in Columbus which doesn't help you but I know there are some around the LaRue area (due to the high population of Amish in that area) which is fairly close to Kenton so maybe they live in/around that area and would be willing to do Lima...

Let me see what I can find real quick...

Okay, you can go to this page http://www.mana.org/memberlist.html and email Nina for a list of mw's in the area. She's out of Cols (and helped deliver my last one!) and in practice with the mw's I'm using!!

Small world, this midwifery thang!

Cheryl - thanks so much for the pointer. I emailed Nina. I had a CNM-assisted hospital delivery with DD, but instead of a unmedicated water-birth I had a nubain-strapped-to-machines birth experience. I would prefer not to repeat that.

Kenton is 30 minutes east of here, and I looked up LaRue... which looks around 45 miles from here (but back roads and lots of turns make it a 75 minute drive)....

Midwife

Our midwife is in the Mansfield/Ashland area.....would that work for you???? We live in the Cleveland area and she is traveling around 1 hour and 30 minutes to ocme be with us, in February at that. I love her and would HIGHLY reccomend her. PM me if you think that area would be a feasible distance for you.

I know there are a few. Joan? Frida? Try asking in Finding Your Tribe: http://www.mothering.com/discussions...aysprune=&f=80

annakiss - thanks. I did post there first and have not received any replies in that thread. Are Joan and Frida names of women who post here or names of homebirth midwives in my area?

They're midwives. I don't personally know them. I've just heard of them.
