Well, I was planning to make DS a black shirt with iron-on transfer letters ... I tried to dye a white cotton baby t-shirt black with Wilton's cake dye. Not only did it not turn it black - it came out very, very pink . I used Wilton's with great success for dyeing wool (got nice & vibrant greens, blues, and purples) ... but I guess the same's not true for cotton?
