I'm making some cute little bendy dolls for the neighbouring children and I was looking for some cotton prints to use for dresses and such.
So I dug out my old fabric box that I haven't been into in well over a year. Mostly I keep scraps in there and the stuff I use for diapers and baby clothes is on the shelves in the room I use for sewing.
And what's on the top of that box I haven't opened in forever? 2 yards of soft red wool and 2 yards of not quite as soft but still soft enough royal blue wool!!!!! I vaugely remember buying it on a whim at a garage sale 2 yrs ago (before our daughter was conceived and well before I knew that wool could be used as a diaper cover. I think I paid $5 CAD total for both of those. I can't believe I have wool kicking around! The colours are GORGEOUS!)
time to do the happy dance!
:
(and to felt it! but maybe not until tomorrow since it's late and I still have clothes to put on the bendies!)
So, what's your favourite cover pattern to use with wool and do you have any pointers for me to make these covers?
