I'm on bedrest...

Thread Starter
I'm 35 weeks and started having contractions a week ago! It started when I got dehydrated (drink your water, ladies). And after I saw my midwife, she put me on a daily regimen of protein shakes and all kinds of supplements. After a few days of that, I was still having spurts of contractions here and there, so my midwife officially put me on bedrest, which is not something she normally does.

I want this baby to be born at home, but the baby has another agenda. If she won't stay put until after Christmas, I'll have to deliver in a hospital with "preemie" status. I DON'T want that! They'll separate me from her, try to give her formula, etc...

It's so hard to stay put with a toddler needing you all the time. My mom is coming to stay with me this week to help. I don't know what I'd do without her!

Keeping my legs crossed until after Christmas,

Bummer!!! How far do you need to get before you will be able to deliver at home? I'm glad your mom is coming, I can't even imagine having to be in bed with Gracie running around, it would be so difficult!!!

Take care and I'm sending you anti-labor vibes for a couple more weeks!!!

Stay in there baby!!!!!

I'm so sorry....I've often thought of how it would be to be on bedrest with a toddler = really hard. I am so glad your mother is coming to help. I hope you like to knit or write or that you have some hobby that you can really enjoy while having to be still. I hope that baby stays in there until you can birth it at home!!
