Snap Question: Does Anyone Know...

If the regular polyacetal snaps from OSDS can be used with the regular polyacetal dies from the The Snap Store? I'm hoping to take advantage of the free shipping! Thanks in advance

I got a sample of the OSDS snaps to try in my Snap Store press and I couldn't get them to work. Maybe someone else has?

From the research I've done, it looks like OSDS snaps do NOT work in Snap Store dies, but Snap Store snaps do work in OSDS standard dies (I've done this).

Oh no! You mean that a snap press with a size #20 die will not take snaps that are a #20 except from a certain vendor! Arrghh! What snap press should I buy then?

It seems that to get the most consistent results, it is best to purchase the snaps from whomever you purchase the press from. I purchased mine from The Snap Store. It seems that they, along with OSDS, are the most common. From my research, people seems equally happy with their snap presses purchased at these places. I likely would have purchased mine from OSDS, but they haven't been in stock for a while. I am, however, perfectly happy with my press and the service from The Snap Store. I was just hoping to throw in a few more colors of snaps to my (very large) order at OSDS. Oh, well, no biggie. The few thousand snaps I have now will just have to tie me over, lol.

Either snap press is good. If you have the Snap Store press, you use KAM snaps, which the Snap Store sells. You can usually get these easily in co-ops as well. They're widely used snaps. If you get the OSDS snap press with standard size dies, you can use OSDS snaps or KAM snaps. If you get the OSDS snap press with industrial size dies, you can ONLY use OSDS industrial snaps.

Either snap press is a good buy, and with either one, you can use the KAM snaps that are offered up in co-ops so often (as long as you aren't using industrial sized dies from OSDS).

I use an arbor press from Harbor Freight, and the OSDS standard size dies (I also have the industrial size). So far, I've mostly used KAM snaps.
