PMS -or- Why I'm no joy to be around

Before getting pregnant, I never PMS'ed that badly, I'd get a little grouchy and weepy but nothing dramatic....

Now, I'm just plain crazy to be around the week before my period. I get emotionally sensitive (poor dh, I'm really touchy and he's not great with putting things, um... tactfully), touched out (constant nursing does not help!), impatient and worse of all clostrophobic (very very small apartment, lots of clutter, makes for that "I can't breathe" feeling).

Right now, getting out of the apartment helps, as does coffee. But, if anyone can suggest an herbal tea or *something* (natural please) that will help me (and my family, Goddess bless them) through this I'd be ever so greatful!

Me, too!! Me, too!! I need to know. My last pregnancy, I was a bear!!! Real b*&#@! And now when I am PMSing, it is just as equally terrible. I am also still nursing, so don't want to take anything to interfere with that.

Try a good multivitamin and a 100mg B-complex vitamin daily, or 2 50mgB's so you can take it twice a day. Do not take it at bedtime, as it will keep you awake. I found B vitamins to really help with PMS.

I will also share that I had horrible PMS while nursing, and it seemed to get worse and worse until dd finally weaned at 39 months. That was a couple of months ago, and it feels like my periods are finally going back to normal. I think it must have been some sort of hormonal imbalance, and B vitamins do help with that.

Peace,
Laura

Oh, and I also took "Natural Calm" its a magnesium suppliment that also really helped a lot. Drink a cup at bedtime and it will help you relax and sleep better too. You can order it on the web.

Peace,
