stinky diapers and other smells

I was washing the cloth diapers last night, and it started to get to me. I think A.J. has a stomch virus/drippy nose that's making the diapers extra stinky right now. But we had some disposables in the closet left over from a trip and I thought I'd use them up and maybe order some Nature Boy biodegradable dipes until the morning sickness/heightened smell thing passes. I still feel kind of guilty though. But unfortunately my husband will NOT help with the diaper washing, even though he fully "supports" me using cloth, and has turned many of our friends onto it. I honestly don't remember how I made it through last time.
Anybody else have super-sensitive smell issues during pregnancy?

Oh goodness yes. EVERYTHING smells stronger to me when I'm pg--it was the same for DD. The day before I found out I was pg this time, I was going crazy trying to figure out where the rubber smell I was smelling was coming from. Turns out it was DH's strap wrench (like a strip of rubber you tighten over the bolt or whatever), it was a good 4 feet away from me and it was under a blanket! And I could smell it! I kind of suspected at that point...I always have a good sense of smell, but that was ridiculous!

Oh, man, the diapers are killing me. And it's not just that they're cloth. DD wears sposie pull-ups at grandma's house and those are terrible too. Both DD's still need some help wiping after the potty and that is just as bad.

Everything else is heightened, smellwise, but that's the one thing that pushes me to the edge. Yuck.

Oh, I hear you on the dipes! I thought ds was done with diapers he had woken up dry for months and no longer wanted to wear them anymore. We told him we'd keep them on just in case. Well, now he's wet every morning and every nap. Ug. I don't know what happened but I can't stand rincing them out :

My DH says I have a nose like a deer! I couldn't walk past the butcher's counter in the grocery last pregnancy, or I'd get sick. Things like exhaust, alcohol, cigarette smoke, and of course, diapers really bother me. If my poor DH has one beer, he has to brush his teeth to even talk to me-it smells like turpentine! Isn't it funny how everything changes-not just our waistlines?

My sense of smell is through the roof. I work at a coffee shop and the coffee, cream, baked goods, sandwiches, chili, soups, etc are not good smells.
