waterbirth hose

I'm freaking a little here!! I don't have a hose, am days away from full term and can't seem to find one! From what I understand I need a drinking water safe hose as garden hoses can leach a ton of chemicals. The only type of hose is a brand called Apex aquaflex and have only found it online. So is there something I'm missing - easy solutions to this or does everyone just use a standard garden hose?

I have googled myself crazy and almost no one carries a hose in their waterbirth accessories or kits. I've also called around to local camping/outdoor stores and home improvement stores with no luck. The longer I keep looking the more nervous I get which brings on more b/h ctx which makes me more nervous ...

Hmmm...I know we got ours at Wal Mart last time. It was a yellow hose, not the green garden ones. I'm not sure what it was called...but this was mid summer when we found it so likely right now wouldn't be the best time to find them.

I'd try a home improvement place, and I don't think ours was called "drinking water safe" but it was different than the regular garden ones (so maybe the stores you're calling DO have it, but they're just not used to calling it that?) I'll ask my dh if he recalls what ours was called...sorry I can't remember right now!!

it may seem like a silly question, but did you call your local midwives that may have an Aquadoula? the hose used was part of my aquadoala. Sorry i cant help more

Found one!

I called more camping/outdoor stores today and one place suggested boating world which I called and they had one. Not called the same thing but drinking water safe and works! I'm feeling more prepared now - been doing tons of laundry and getting those last few details completed. Now just to get some sleep.
