Help! I recently accepted a new position to start in January 2006. I'm very excited, and just found out about the baby in the last week. Any advice on changing jobs while pregnant? What to expect? How to handle it? I'm not showing yet, and didn't show until almost 5 months last time (although I doubt I will be that lucky this time). I plan to return to work after the baby comes, so that is not an issue. Any help is appreciated!

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Since you accepted the job before finding out (and even if you didn't) I wouldn't feel bad about it. Just start the job and announce it whenever you would have if you had worked somewhere for a longer time already. It would be nice to wait long enough so they have the chance to see what a valuable person you are, and for you to have the chance to see how people are treated in general. And, find out all you can about maternity leave policies etcetera.

I just got hired somewhere and found out I was pregnant in the same day. I'm not telling them until I have to. I at least want them to know that I'm worth something before they find out. But it's hard for me to hide it because I work in a gym and wear tight black pants. My bulge is already showing.
I'm not too worried though, it's a nice womans only gym and they seem very family friendly. Good luck at your new job.
